In Yakutia, water broke through the dam and flooded Verkhoyansk

All the streets and courtyards in the Yakut Verkhoyansk were flooded as a result of a dam break. Power lines and substations were cut off for fear of accidents.
According to the operational headquarters of the region, 54 household plots were flooded in the city.
"The flood caused by heavy rains goes downstream. Today the city of Verkhoyansk has begun to flood. In addition, water levels have been raised in Borunuk village. After 1.5 - 2 days, the water should go downstream the Yana River, - they specify in the operational headquarters".
Earlier, the village of Sebyan-Kyuel was in the flood zone. Now the water has freed him. The villages of Tokuma, Suordakh, Betenkes and Tomtor were also flooded.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Verkhoyansk region.
