Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his order, dismissed Dmitry Rogozin from the post of General Director of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos. At this post, Rogozin was replaced by Yuri Borisov.

The decree on the dismissal of Rogozin from office came into force from the date of signing - today, July 15. By another decree, the head of state appointed Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov as head of the state corporation.

Earlier it was reported that Borisov, who oversees the space and defense industry in the Russian government, could replace Rogozin at the head of Roskosmos.

Recall that Rogozin was appointed head of Roscosmos on May 24, 2018.

Borisov is 65 years old, he previously replaced Rogozin as Deputy Prime Minister, and Roskosmos fell under his responsibility.
