The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergey Shoigu, inspected the Zapad group of forces, which is participating in a special operation in Ukraine. At the same time, for the first time, the department named the name of the commander of this grouping: Lieutenant General Andrey Sychevoy (pictured).
Shoigu listened to Sychevoy's report on the current situation and the combat missions being carried out in the area of responsibility. He gave instructions to increase the efficiency of destruction of Ukrainian drones over the border areas. Shoigu pointed out the need for a strict suppression of shelling by nationalists of residential areas of liberated settlements.
At the beginning of the week, it became known that Shoigu visited the Vostok group. The group commander, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov reported on the current situation and the progress of combat missions.
