A petition has been published on the Change.org civil campaign platform for repeating payments of 10,000 rubles by September 1 for school-age children. To date, it has already collected over 50,000 signatures. Its authors - the project on social payments and benefits "Privileges Answer" - note in the text of the petition that parents of schoolchildren face financial difficulties in preparing their children for September 1. Among the expenses for which they are asking for money are stationery, clothing and other school supplies.

“Due to high inflation in Russia in 2022, prices for everyday goods increased. Due to the imposition of foreign sanctions, many businesses have closed and people have been left without work”, - the petition says. According to a survey conducted by the Privileged Answer project, on average, Russians spend between 10,000 and 15,000 rubles preparing a child for the new school year.
