To date, 12 countries of the European Community have already imposed certain restrictions on the travel of Russians.

Bulgaria picked up a kind of "anti-visa parade" of European countries, announcing that the Consular Service of this country suspends the acceptance of Russian documents for tourist visas and visas for property owners.

According to the tour operators, the Bulgarian consulate in Moscow informed them of its decision, taken for an indefinite period, "in view of the current emergency situation". The Bulgarian side called the measures taken temporary. Meanwhile, a list of countries has appeared on the web that have already resorted to such a measure, gradually closing Europe to Russians, albeit to varying degrees - either by stopping, like Bulgaria, accepting applications for visas, or by introducing any restrictions:

In Belgium, you can now only apply for a student visa, a research visa and a single entry work visa.

In Denmark, visas are issued only for official visits.

In Latvia, you can only apply for a visa to attend the funeral of a loved one.

No one will be allowed into Lithuania, except for family members of EU citizens, persons with a document of Lithuanian origin or a document on the right to restore Lithuanian citizenship.

Only family members of citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Union can enter Malta. And only in exceptional cases, you can try to apply for a work or student visa, although in this case the issue will be resolved individually.

A visa can only be issued to the Netherlands for humanitarian reasons.

In Norway, there is no official ban, but the period for reviewing documents has been significantly increased (up to 45 days).

You can also get to Slovakia only in case of emergency, but this country has made indulgences for people whose arrival is economically necessary: shift workers, diplomats, doctors, rural workers, transport workers, highly qualified workers.

The Czech Republic issues visas only to family members of EU citizens.

Estonia issues visas only to family members of Estonian citizens, persons with a residence permit, as well as to participate in the funeral of loved ones or for urgent treatment.

In Finland, the issue of banning visas for Russians is currently being discussed at the parliamentary level, while the majority of citizens support this.

It is also reported that the foreign ministers of the EU countries will meet at the end of August to resolve the issue of a visa ban for Russian citizens at the pan-European level. However, Russian political scientist Fyodor Krasheninnikov, citing reliable sources, claims that there will be no ban on issuing visas to Russians at the EU level, because it will be blocked by France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and a number of other countries.
