Police officers arrived with searches at the house of the former editor of Channel One, Marina Ovsyannikova, in connection with a criminal case initiated against her for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

As OVD-Info* confirmed, referring to Ovsyannikova's lawyer Dmitry Zakharov, a case was opened against the former employee of Pervy under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code. He stated that the searches took place in the absence of a lawyer.

On August 8, it was reported that Ovsyannikova was fined for the third time - this time for 490 thousand rubles. Previously, she paid a fine of 30 thousand, but could not yet pay a fine of 50 thousand. It is specified that new sanctions were imposed on her under the article about fakes about the army.

On March 14, Ovsyannikova appeared on the air of the Vremya program on Channel One with a protest poster, demanding to stop the Russian special operation in Ukraine. She was detained and an administrative protocol was drawn up, fined 30,000 rubles.
