She managed to bring to the sea by removing the masts.

Jeff Bezos' yacht Y721 arrived at the Port of Rotterdam last Tuesday. The ship was shipped without masts, which were brought in and installed separately, according to Business Insider. Thanks to this, it was possible to do without dismantling the Rotterdam bridge, the likelihood of which caused a scandal last year.

At 127 meters, the Y721 is the largest sailing yacht in the world. According to experts, its cost will be $500 million. After being towed upriver, the ship is at the Greenport shipyard in Rotterdam. YouTube channel Dutch Yachting, which talks about ships built in the Netherlands, has published a video that allows you to take a closer look at Bezos' yacht.

The existence of the yacht became known last year, when the Oceanco shipyard that built it turned to the Rotterdam authorities with a request to temporarily dismantle the local landmark, the Koningshafen Bridge. This was necessary to get the ship out of the shipyard and into the open water: unlike many modern yachts, the Y721 is equipped with sails and has three masts, too high to pass under the bridge. Oceanco was offered to dismantle the central span, which infuriated local residents who organized a group on social networks with the intention of throwing rotten eggs on the yacht.

In July, Oceanco withdrew its request, explaining that it had begun receiving threats. Instead, the company decided to tow the yacht upriver without masts, which they did last week. The fore, main and mizzen masts are now in place so that the yacht looks ready to go to sea.
