The United States and the European Union requested a meeting of the UN Security Council because of Ukraine

According to TASS and RIA Novosti , citing sources in the UN, from European countries, France, Great Britain (they have the status of permanent members of the Security Council), as well as Ireland, Norway, Albania (they have the status of non-permanent members) joined the request.

During the meeting, they will also discuss the results of the visit of UN Secretary General António Guterres to Lviv, who is scheduled to hold trilateral talks with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also plans to visit one of the three ports involved in the grain deal.
