Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to attend the G20 summit in Bali in November, Indonesian leader Joko Widodo has said.

“President Putin told me he would come”, - Widodo told Bloomberg.

He also added that Chinese President Xi Jinping will also attend the summit.

According to Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Jose Tavares, Kyiv did not ask Indonesia to hold a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the summit in the event of their full-time participation. Jakarta is ready to organize these talks.

Earlier, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu said that Beijing is ready to deepen cooperation with Moscow in a multilateral framework, including the G20. China is also "ready to strengthen strategic coordination with Russia and expand practical cooperation in various fields."

At the very meeting of the G20 foreign ministers, Western diplomats intend to accuse Moscow of artificially inflating the global food crisis. In this regard, they will demand that Moscow be held accountable.

The summit will take place in Bali on November 15-16. The United States and Canada demanded that Russia be excluded from the G20, but other countries did not agree to this. Indonesia presiding over the G20 stressed that it was not going to allow a G20 split. As host, she refused to cancel an invitation to Vladimir Putin for the G20 summit in November.

In June, Widodo called on the G7 and G20 countries to work to overcome the food crisis that threatens developing countries.
