The estimated price of gas on August 23 reached a record high since 1996, that is, for the entire period of operation of gas hubs in Europe. Fuel is trading at around $ 2861.6 per thousand cubic meters, follows from the data of the London ICE exchange.

GasAt yesterday's auction, the price of blue fuel for the first time in history exceeded $3,000 per thousand cubic meters. The price increase is due to the decision of the Russian Gazprom to suspend gas transportation via Nord Stream for three days due to the maintenance of the only working gas pumping unit. The gas pipeline is currently operating at 20% of its design capacity (33 million cubic meters per day).
Recall that in mid-July, gas at the TTF was traded at $1,764 per thousand cubic meters, and since the beginning of August - $2,237.
