According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Yaroslavl region, a terrible accident occurred on August 30 at about 09.55.
The head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Yaroslavl Region, Vadim Andyamov, explained to reporters that as a result of a traffic accident, a fuel truck turned over, pouring fuel into 150 square meters. “Tentatively, we have three dead so far. It is difficult to say yet, from a fuel truck or from an ambulance. 10 units of fire protection equipment and 47 personnel are working at the site," he said.
According to eyewitnesses of the incident, all the dead are ambulance workers. According to other sources, one of the dead was the driver of a fuel truck. The driver of the car is alive, her car was hit on a tangent.
According to the drivers, who witnessed the tragedy unfolding before their eyes, the truck initially rushed across the road at speed and crashed head-on into the ambulance. After the truck rolled over, overturned the noise screen and fell right into the territory of a private house.
The fire, created as a result of a collision of vehicles, caused a fire in two houses, just where the fuel truck fell. It is reported that the owners of the houses managed to escape and even rescued a pet dog from the fire.
“It was blazing very hard, the tires were flying, then the slate began to shoot at the house,” eyewitnesses write on the network.
Residents also report that they consider this section of the road dangerous, and the transport of dangerous goods in the daytime is absolutely unacceptable.
It should be noted that the incident happened literally 5 km from the place where on September 7, 2011, HC Lokomotiv died in a plane crash.
