The head of the IAEA announced his intention to organize a permanent mission to ZNPP

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi expressed his hope for the organization of a permanent mission to ZNPP.

“Now we are finally moving after six months of intense effort. We have a very important task there - to assess the real situation, to help stabilize the situation as much as possible, ” Grossi said (quoted by Reuters ).

This morning, the IAEA delegation set out from Kyiv in the direction of the ZNPP. According to the head of the agency, the mission will stay at the nuclear power plant for several days. He noted that both sides provided security guarantees for the delegation. One of the priorities of the mission will be communication with ZNPP maintenance personnel. Grossi expressed hope for a permanent mission in the future.

“This is one of the most important things I want to do and I will do it,” he added.
