In the group of countries whose GDP per capita exceeds the world average, there are almost all European, several Latin American, but not ours.

The World Bank has published new data on the standard of living of different countries for the past 2021. Including the main indicator in this area - the size of the Gross Domestic Product per capita. Last year, its average world level was 12.3 thousand US dollars.

In the list of countries whose GDP is above average, as expected, were the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and most of the European countries. The presence of South American Chile and Uruguay, as well as China, whose GDP of 12.5 thousand dollars exceeded the world average by quite a bit, was a surprise.

Russia, as we can see, is brilliantly absent from this rating, its GDP is about 11.2 thousand dollars per capita (63rd place in the world). And this is despite the fact that last year the sanctions against our country were still “velvet”. I wonder to what level the Russian economy will fall at the end of the current year?
