On September 13, the editor-in-chief of "NI" received a call from one of the responsible comrades of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. In the course of a quite diplomatic conversation, it turned out that the Communist Party and its leader did not make any statements in relation to Ramzan Kadyrov. Already in the process of communication, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper removed the news from the NI website, admitting the mistake of the editors, who, having received Zyuganov's "official" statement on a form with seals and signatures to the editorial mail, did not check the accuracy of the information.
On September 13, two hours after the removal of the article and the apology of the editor-in-chief, the press service of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation published a statement "The provocation with the participation of Novye Izvestia should receive a strict legal assessment" :
"The press service of the Central Committee of the Party refutes the information contained in the report of the Novye Izvestia newspaper. The false nature of the "letter" presented in the publication is easily proved by the following facts:
1. For the production of this text, allegedly by G.A. Zyuganov used a fake form of the Central Committee of the Communist Party;
2. The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation conducts his official correspondence with state authorities on such issues as the head of the party faction in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, in connection with which letters addressed to officials are sent on the appropriate form;
3. The material of the newspaper "Novye Izvestia" presents an image of a falsified signature of G.A. Zyuganov;
4. The e-mail address from which the editorial office of the newspaper received a false appeal from the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation has nothing to do with either the press service of the Central Committee or other divisions of the party.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party strongly condemns the unscrupulous actions of provocateurs. We believe that such steps are directly aimed at creating political conflicts with interethnic overtones, which is especially unacceptable in our large multinational country with deep international traditions. We officially declare our intention to apply to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in order to investigate the actions of falsifiers and bring provocateurs to justice."
It remains for us to add that the editors of "NI" and its employees did not participate in any deliberate action to discredit the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and Ramzan Kadyrov.
We apologize to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and personally to Gennady Zyuganov for publishing false information.
