“The evacuation of civilians from dangerous areas has begun", - RIA Novosti quotes a message from an administration representative.
Recall that on Wednesday morning, the border service of Kyrgyzstan announced a shootout between Kyrgyz and Tajik border guards in the Bulak-Bashi area. The reason for the skirmish was that the Tajik border detachment took up combat positions on the border section. Later, another skirmish began between the military - already in the area of Kak-Sai. Even later, the third began - in the area of the village of Samarkandek. By Wednesday evening, the parties agreed on a ceasefire and the withdrawal of forces from the border. As a result of skirmishes in Kyrgyzstan, two border guards and three civilians were injured. Today, September 16, the clashes resumed.
The Tajik side accused Kyrgyzstan of violating the ceasefire agreement. According to the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz military, using heavy weapons, fired at the Tajik border outpost "Dushanbe" of the Isfara border detachment.
“Along with this, the servicemen of Kyrgyzstan, using heavy weapons and mortars, carried out an armed attack on the settlements of Khojai Alo, Kummazor, Surkh, Somoniyon, Kulkand in the village of Chorkuh in the city of Isfara, as well as Khistevarz and Ovchikalacha, Bobojon, Gafurov district”, - the ministry said in a statement.
After negotiations, the equipment was withdrawn from the border perimeter near the villages of Vorukh and Chorkuh, but the Kyrgyz military did not withdraw their equipment.
The day before, it was reported that the border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan violated the agreements between the parties and took up combat positions on an undescribed section of the state border. Ignoring the demands of the Kyrgyz side to leave the territory, the Tajik border guards opened fire. In response, the Kyrgyz border guards also used weapons. Then the Tajik side used mortars, they said in Kyrgyzstan. On June 14, we recall, during a skirmish at the border, the Tajik side used mortars and grenade launchers. Before that, the shootout was recorded on June 3. They also started shooting from mortars.
