Shoigu instructed to organize notification of citizens in conditions of partial mobilization

He urged to ensure proper protection of notification areas, points of reception and collection of citizens.

“It is necessary to organize notification of citizens in a timely and high-quality manner, strengthening measures to counteract provocations and illegal actions, as well as the protection of notification areas, reception and gathering points for citizens”, - Shoigu said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

He also recalled that the mobilized persons will receive the status of servicemen undergoing military service under a contract with the corresponding monetary allowance.

This morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the signing of a decree on partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. Shoigu later announced plans to call up 300,000 reservists as part of the partial mobilization phase. He noted that partial mobilization does not affect students and conscripts, as well as some other categories of citizens.
