Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, during an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel, assured that the decree on partial mobilization in Russia of September 21 does not apply to students. He also noted that conscripts will not be sent to the zones of the special operation.

“There is no question of any mobilizations, the call of students, university students and [cannot] go under any circumstances. Let everyone calmly go to classes, study, no one will call on them, mobilize them”, - said Shoigu (quoted by TASS).

The Minister of Defense stressed that the conscripts would serve on the territory of the country, excluding the possibility of sending conscripts to the zones of the special operation.

“As for conscripts, this does not concern them either. They are not subject to any mobilization, sending to the zone of the special military operation”, - he explained.

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during an address to the Russians, announced the beginning of a partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree came into force from today. The head of the Ministry of Defense said that within the framework of partial mobilization, it is planned to call up 300 thousand reservists, which is 1.1% of the country's mobilization resource.
