After the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, scammers became more active, who began to post numerous offers on the Web for the sale of a “white ticket”, supposedly exempting them from conscription into the army.

According to REN TV, citing data from the Safe Internet League, since the signing of the decree on partial mobilization, over 600,000 fakes on the topic of partial mobilization have appeared on the Web. Offers to sell the so-called white ticket are especially popular with scammers.

“For a reward, the attackers offer fake medical certificates and even exclusion from the lists of conscripts”, - the report says.

However, the publication warns that the goal of the scammers is not to free their compatriots from being sent to the front, but to receive money. As soon as the promised reward is transferred to the attackers, they, as a rule, simply disappear.

Another of the tricks of the scammers was the distribution of links to phishing sites. After the introduction of the card data of citizens who want to be released from the draft, the scammers empty the accounts of their victims.

Among the most common fakes about mobilization on the Web, experts also name a statement about the alleged plans of the authorities to distribute mobilization orders and agendas through the public services website, as well as about the forthcoming appearance on the streets of cities of "mobilization patrols", catching passers-by suitable for military service.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on partial mobilization of the population on September 21. The decision was made against the backdrop of the ongoing military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The authorities promise to call first of all those who previously served in the army, have military specialties and experience in combat operations. They promise to exclude recruits from the lists of the military sent to the front line.

Many citizens of the Russian Federation reacted negatively to the decree on mobilization. Crowds of dissenters took to the streets of cities with posters, they were severely dispersed by the police. At the same time, over a thousand protesters were detained.
