“In connection with the adoption by the State Duma of the Russian Federation of legislative acts providing for the simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship by foreigners who have entered into a contract for service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation warns citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic temporarily residing on the territory of the Russian Federation from participating in armed conflicts”, — stated on the website of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan.
The statement of the press service said that in case of violation of this order, citizens of the country face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. The diplomatic mission called on the Kyrgyz to notify about cases of receiving calls for participation in hostilities. A similar statement was made by the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan.
“We call on our compatriots living in foreign countries not to join the armed forces, not to participate in hostilities, and once again we warn that such actions entail criminal liability”, - the ministry’s press service emphasized.
As noted by Kommersant , before that, a similar warning was issued by the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan. In particular, citizens were reminded of the criminal liability for participation in hostilities on the territory of other countries from February 2022.
On the eve of the Federation Council approved a law providing for the acquisition of citizenship in a simplified manner for foreign citizens who have entered into a contract with the RF Armed Forces for a period of at least a year.
