The IT-industry is in a panic - its employees are also being drafted into the army

The decree on partial mobilization in Russia gave rise to a quite expected bureaucratic confusion, the victims of which were, among others, IT specialists. Summons from the military commissariats began to come to them already in the very first hours after the announcement of mobilization. But until recently, the authorities complained about the massive outflow of these people abroad and took all sorts of measures to stop it. And yet…

Nikolai Apurin, a businessman who owns one of the domestic IT companies, which also fulfills state orders, even turned to the authorities with a request for help. Here is what he writes on his blog:

“Most IT specialists in our company do not have IT diplomas.

Because 1 person in the office received a summons for registration - a "panic" began. At the moment, more than 30 people are ready to give up everything and leave without paying wages. For us, this is a disaster. Especially at the end of the year.

Therefore we offer

1. All full-time employees of IT companies fulfilling the State Order should be exempted from any type of mobilization.
2. The list is confirmed by the State Customer. The list is submitted by the Contractor under the state contract.
3. Validity period - the period of execution of the state contract + the period of warranty obligations.
4. Everyone who has an IT diploma / works in an IT company accredited by the Ministry of Digital Development - to be released, regardless of whether the state order is made or not".
