Even before the announcement of partial mobilization in the country, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov called on everyone to "mobilize themselves as much as possible to achieve victory in the Donbass". The mobilization was announced on 21 September.
Earlier it became known that the requirement to appear at the military registration and enlistment offices during the period of mobilization does not apply to a number of categories of citizens, including State Duma deputies and senators, as well as those to whom the government will provide a reservation.
The speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, advised State Duma deputies who meet the requirements for partial mobilization to voluntarily go to Ukraine in order to "help with their participation in a special military operation".
