An unknown person broke into the school of Izhevsk and opened fire - there are dead and wounded

According to Interfax, referring to the school's website, the educational institution is designed for 982 children and 80 teachers work here. Official information on the number of victims was not reported, but on the footage of eyewitnesses, you can see how some children are being carried to ambulances. According to the Zvezda TV channel, there are "a lot of wounded" in the building.

“There is a tragedy in Udmurtia today. In Izhevsk school No. 88, an as yet unidentified ... man entered the school, killed a security guard - this is already known. There are casualties among children and wounded. The evacuation is almost over now. According to my information, [the attacker] shot himself, but we will later verify the information with colleagues from the FSB and the healthcare system. The entire perimeter has been cordoned off, the National Guard, the FSB are working now, the investigating authorities are working at the facility. That's all for now", - the head of the region said in a video message.

According to Telegram channel 112 , at least 10 people were killed during the attack, 5 of whom were children aged 10, 11 and 15. The source notes that one of the wounded schoolchildren has stab wounds. Eyewitnesses from the scene report that the attacker fired back at the police from the school building for some time.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has just reported that as a result of an attack by an unknown person, six people were killed, and another 20 people were injured.

“Today, immediately after the police received a report about a shooting at school No. 88 in the city of Izhevsk, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Udmurt Republic went to the scene and organized events aimed at detaining the suspect. The body of the man who opened fire has now been found by police. According to reports, he committed suicide. At the moment, it is known about 6 dead and about 20 injured from his actions.
