Silvio Berlusconi wins Italian Senate elections

Silvio Berlusconi (pictured), former prime minister, leader of the Forza Italia party (pictured), who ran in Monza, wins the election in his single-member constituency in the Senate elections with 49.5% of the vote.
According to ANSA, Berlusconi's closest rival is more than 20% behind him.
The centre-right coalition is gaining 44%, leading the elections. The centre-left coalition has 26.7%. Forward Italy (part of the centre-right coalition) gains over 8%, ranking fourth among the parties.
The voter turnout was 63.95%. This is 9% less than in the voting in 2018.
