The deputy head of the pro-Russian administration died during shelling in the Kherson region

According to Alexander Malkevich, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia, the death of Katerinichev was the result of a strike by the armed forces of Ukraine on Kherson.

“Tonight, as a result of a terrorist strike by a guided missile of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the center of Kherson, Alexei Katerinichev, the first deputy head of the Kherson regional military administration for security, was killed", - Kommersant quoted Malkevich as saying.

Katerinichev managed to serve in this position for only a month and a half. Previously, he served in the FSB and in the border troops.

Meanwhile, on the eve it became known about the visit of the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Moscow, where on September 30 the signing of documents on their entry into Russia is scheduled.

Previously, referendums were held in these territories. 99% of the inhabitants of the DNR, 98% of the inhabitants of the LNR, 87% of the inhabitants of the Kherson region and 93% of the inhabitants of the Zaporozhye region voted for joining Russia.

However, neither Ukraine nor Western countries recognize the results of the referendums held in the Ukrainian regions, which are under the control of the Russian military.
