At the end of September, sales of antidepressants in Russian pharmacies increased by 2.2 times: citizens spent 213.8 million rubles on their purchase.

According to TASS with reference to the DSM Group, in recent days the country has seen an explosive growth in sedatives that help people deal with symptoms of anxiety, insomnia and restlessness.

In monetary terms, from September 19 to September 25, the volume of sales of antidepressants in Russian pharmacies increased by 2.2 times compared to the same data last year.

“Also, sales increased by 80% in physical terms, to 289.2 thousand packs”, - notes Kommersant.

If during several weeks preceding the announcement of partial mobilization in the country, sales of antidepressants, sleeping pills and sedatives decreased by 8-19% in physical terms, then in the week from September 19 to 25 there was a sharp increase.

After the presidential decree was issued on the beginning of mobilization in the country, the demand for first-aid kits also increased sharply in pharmacies. Pharmacists note that the mobilized apply to the pharmacy network already with pre-issued lists of medicines received in the military registration and enlistment offices. In many cities, the mobilized willingly share photos of the lists issued to them on social networks.

The lists indicate that the commissariats insist that those mobilized before being sent to the front provide themselves with supplies of bandages, tourniquets, hemostatics, collagen sponges, as well as antiviral and pain medications, diarrhea medicines and other medical supplies. In addition, in some subjects, the mobilized are told to buy their own berets, armored helmets, bulletproof vests, underwear, food and hygiene items.

Relatives of those mobilized on the forums are discussing that sending a soldier to the front in accordance with these lists now costs "round sums": the cost of equipment reaches 100-200 thousand rubles per person.

In a number of regions, governors expressed indignation at the fact that the owners of military stores, against the background of the rush demand for equipment, "inflated prices".
