Leading French actresses, including world-famous Juliette Binoche and Isabelle Huppert, cut their hair to protest the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in a police station in Iran, who dared to appear on the street without a headscarf.

French celebrities are also in solidarity with Iranian women who have risen in revolt, defending their rights.

As reported by Reuters , Juliette Binoche was the first to take such a bold step. Later, other French celebrities joined her, including Marion Cotillard and Isabelle Huppert. At the same time, during the “haircut”, the French beauties, by their own admission, performed the Italian protest song “Bella ciao”.

“Mahsa Amini was abused by the morality police until she died of a heart attack. This happened due to the fact that she exposed several strands of her hair, ”the text of the statement of angry French women, circulated on Iranian social networks, reads.

“Iranian women expect support from the international community. It's a great way to showcase it," famous French lawyer Richard Zedillo told Reuters.

According to him, this is only the first step, and everyone in the world will follow it, not only actresses, but everyone. “Men can cut their hair too, and I think that will happen soon,” Zedillo said.
