Banks demanded from Shoigu to speed up the issuance of deferrals from partial mobilization

Representatives of the Russian banking sector appealed to the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, with a request to expedite the approval of the list of employees “reserved” from mobilization.

The banks are dissatisfied with the fact that they sent the lists for reservations to the Ministry of Defense back in September.

But until now, the military registration and enlistment offices have not received the necessary instructions from the General Staff, as a result, employees involved in important banking operations continue to receive subpoenas.

The National Council of the Financial Market (NSFR) applied to Shoigu with a statement to speed up the processing of the reservation, Forbes notes.

According to Kommersant , earlier the Ministry of Defense promised not to call on reserved employees of banks that ensure the stability of the financial market. At the same time, banks were allowed to include no more than 30% of employees in the reservation lists.

Due to the delay in processing the reservation at the General Staff in one of the largest banks in the country, the head of the IT department, included in the list of the Central Bank, was drafted into the army. Despite the appeals of the management of banks directly to the Central Bank, the Ministry of Defense refused to return it.

Other banks also faced the mobilization of key IT specialists, including those without a military registration specialty and army service experience. Sending key IT specialists to the front turned out to be critical for many institutions and causes growing irritation.

Partial mobilization in the Russian Federation has been ongoing since September 21 of this year by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Over 200 thousand people were sent to the troops in the first two weeks. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of Russians who did not agree to participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine hastily left the Russian Federation.
