Meta* is included in the register of terrorist and extremist organizations

“List of terrorists and extremists (included). National part. Organizations: ... 2. META PLATFORMS INC.”, - says the Rosfinmonitoring website.

At the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, Meta* lifted the ban on incitement to violence against the Russian military. On March 21, the decision of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, the company's activities were recognized as extremist and prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation. At the same time, no penalties were introduced for Russians for bypassing the blocking of social networks of the organization. The restrictions do not apply to the WhatsApp messenger, which is also owned by Meta*.

Inclusion in the register of organizations involved in terrorism and extremism involves the freezing of funds and the suspension of servicing accounts.
