FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack by Ukrainian special services in Moscow

The FSB detained a citizen of Ukraine, born in 1972, who planned to stage a terrorist attack in the Moscow region.

According to the FSB, the detainee cooperated with the Ukrainian special services. Through the territory of Estonia, he delivered Igla anti-aircraft missile systems to Russia. He transported them in a cache equipped in the car, and then picked up a place to store weapons.

This weapon was confiscated from the detainee, as well as means of communication confirming cooperation with the Ukrainian special services, the report says.

The detainee confessed to the planned crime and is assisting the investigation.

A criminal case was opened against the detainee under the article on the illegal acquisition and possession of weapons.

Now the FSB is checking the involvement of the detainee in other crimes.
