About 700 people who were illegally mobilized in the regions of the Urals Federal District and the Perm Territory and ended up in the infamous Yelan Training Center in the Sverdlovsk Region were returned home.

According to State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov, out of 700 people who returned, 300 were mobilized illegally, and 400 were seriously ill. Already after mobilization, doctors found serious illnesses in hundreds of reservists that prevented army service.

“Among those mobilized were people with artificial heart valves, citizens with autism spectrum disorder, AIDS,” Kommersant notes.

Mobilization also turned out to be illegally subjected to full-time students, as well as citizens who have a reservation from the draft.

The deputy connects such massive identified problems during mobilization with the unscrupulous work of the military registration and enlistment offices. Ivanov was outraged by the fact that already at the training center in Yelan, the military was forced to spend their time on medical examinations of mobilized reservists, actually doing the work of military registration and enlistment offices, and then returning people to their homes. The prosecutor's office has already drawn attention to violations in the work of the Sverdlovsk military commissars, which has sent submissions to the commissariats.

Earlier it was reported that the Elan center became infamous after several reservists died there at once. A 33-year-old man mobilized had a cardiac arrest, another one had an epileptic seizure with a fatal outcome due to alcohol poisoning. The third mobilized committed suicide. Another reservist, who was diagnosed with end-stage liver cirrhosis, was escorted home, where he immediately died .

Earlier it was reported that from many regions of the Russian Federation there are complaints about the refusals of military registration and enlistment offices to conduct a detailed medical examination of reservists. In Kostroma, a citizen with health problems who received a summons to mobilize managed to avoid being immediately sent to the troops due to the fact that instead of visiting the military registration and enlistment office, he immediately applied to the court, which allowed him to undergo a medical examination.
