The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea announced that the North Korean side made at least ten missile launches in the direction of the Japan and Yellow Seas in one day, Wednesday, November 2. Seoul called it a provocation.

It is known that one of the missiles crossed the maritime border with South Korea. It was directed towards the island of Ulleungdo, but collapsed 167 km from it. Another rocket fell into the sea 57 km from the city of Sokcho near the Sea of Japan.

Official Seoul expressed its condemnation of Pyongyang. The South Korean authorities considered these actions to be in fact a violation of the border of the territory of the republic. President Yoon Sok-yeol has already given orders to take immediate action to ensure that the DPRK "pays a clear price for its provocation." The head of state ordered the military to "maintain full readiness to protect the life and safety of people and readiness for the possibility of additional and high-intensity provocations from North Korea in the future."

Recall that on October 28, North Korea launched two short-range missiles towards the Sea of Japan. At the end of September, Pyongyang fired two ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan. They fell outside the Japanese economic zone.
