The Moscow City Court granted the petition of the investigation to change the measure of restraint for the defendants in the case of embezzlement of budget funds intended for the implementation of educational programs.

For all the defendants in the case, the measure of restraint was changed to the prohibition of certain actions.

“The court granted the petition of the investigation and mitigated the measure of restraint for Zuev S. E., Inkin M. A., Kryuchkova K. A., Stetsenko A. V., Zaku E. M. and Rakova M. N.”, - the Moscow City Court reported ( quotation from TASS).

Prior to this, Rakova, Inkin, Stetsenko and Zak were kept in a pre-trial detention center, while Zuev and Kryuchkova were under house arrest after pleading guilty. A new preventive measure for all defendants in the case of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Education Rakova, who was accused of major fraud, was a ban on certain actions.

The listed persons are forbidden to use the Internet and leave their places of residence. Walks are provided from 12:00 to 14:00. Stetsenko and Cancer Court prohibited cohabitation. They also have a restriction on leaving the house from 22:00 to 06:00, although the investigator asked for a restriction from 12:00 to 14:00.

Among them was also the head of the research laboratory for the development of the tax system of the RANEPA Natalia Kornienko. Her case is separated into a separate proceeding. Previously, she left Russia and is currently on the wanted list. In this case, the rector of the RANEPA Vladimir Mau was also accused, but the charges were dropped in the process due to non-involvement in the crime. Another person involved in the case, Ivan Fedotov, is under house arrest until February 7.

According to TASS, there are two episodes in the case, one of which is associated with the alleged embezzlement of more than 20 million rubles. This amount was paid as part of an agreement between the university and the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development.
