Erdogan and Putin agreed to send grain to Africa for free

The day before, Erdogan indicated that the first batch of grain had already been sent to the ports of Somalia, Sudan and Djibouti.

- During our negotiations with Putin, we agreed on the free shipment of grain to countries in need. We agree with Putin that Africa should benefit from the Black Sea grain corridor. We will ensure that dry cargo ships with grain reach countries that are currently suffering from a severe food crisis and famine, Haber quotes Erdogan as saying.

Earlier this issue was discussed with UN Secretary General António Guterres.

Recall that on October 29, Russia announced that it was withdrawing from the deal. The decision was made after Ukrainian drones were launched from one of the civilian ships that passed through this "grain corridor". They fired on Russian warships, which ensured the safety of the passage of ships in the Black Sea. However, on November 2, the countries managed to agree on the resumption of Ukrainian food supplies to foreign markets.
