In 2018, a fire broke out in the Menshikov Hall shopping center in the city of Lomonosov in St. Petersburg. The fire covered an area of 800 square meters. Most people managed to leave the building before rescuers arrived. No harm done.

In 2013, the Oktyabr shopping center caught fire in Cheremkhovo, Irkutsk Region. The fire engulfed the second and third floors of the building. None of the people were hurt. In January of the same year, a fire broke out in the shopping center of the village of Severskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. No casualties were reported.
