In April of the same year, the roof of the Aquamarine shopping center in Nakhodka caught fire. In February, there was a fire in the Planet Lux shopping mall in Kizlyar, Dagestan. The fire then spread to the neighboring Soyuz shopping center and nearby shops.
In 2018, a fire broke out in the Menshikov Hall shopping center in the city of Lomonosov in St. Petersburg. The fire covered an area of 800 square meters. Most people managed to leave the building before rescuers arrived. No harm done.
In the same year, a fire broke out in the Perseus for Children shopping center in the east of Moscow. The fire was on the sixth floor of the building. There were warehouses of a weaving factory. 600 people were evacuated from the building. One employee of the shopping center died as a result of the fire. Six rescuers were injured.
The largest fire occurred on March 25 in Kemerovo. The four-story shopping and entertainment center "Zimnyaya vishnya" caught fire. The fire was on the top floor, where the cinema and children's attractions were located. The fire claimed the lives of 60 people, including children. After the tragedy in Kemerovo, firefighters inspected all shopping centers across the country for compliance with fire safety rules.
In December 2017, there was a fire in the Aist shopping center in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region. Then three people died. The source of the fire was on the third floor of the mall.

In August, the building of the Atom shopping center on Taganskaya Square in Moscow caught fire. 120 people were evacuated from the building. None of the people were hurt. And in July there was a fire in the Moscow shopping center "RIO". The fire alarm went off at the mall. People were evacuated from the building. In 2013, the Oktyabr shopping center caught fire in Cheremkhovo, Irkutsk Region. The fire engulfed the second and third floors of the building. None of the people were hurt. In January of the same year, a fire broke out in the shopping center of the village of Severskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. No casualties were reported.
