In March, it became known that Serebrennikov left for Paris after the Khamovniki Court of Moscow overturned his conditional sentence. Earlier, the director was found guilty of embezzlement of state funds issued by the Ministry of Culture and intended to finance the project. The request was granted. The court noted that Serebrennikov covered the fine and the damage caused, did not allow violations during the probationary period.
