Ministry of Defense: troops withdraw from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper

The RF Armed Forces resist the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction. The enemy has lost over 9.5 thousand soldiers, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. However, up to 20% of Ukrainian missiles hit targets in the region. Over 115 thousand residents were evacuated from Kherson and neighboring areas. If the attacks on the Kakhovka HPP intensify, there will be a danger of civilian casualties and the danger of encirclement of the Russian group.

General Surovikin proposed to take up defense along the left bank of the Dnieper, and to transfer the released units to the offensive in other directions.

Defense Minister Shoigu instructed to begin the withdrawal of troops across the Dnieper.

Surovikin also reported on street fighting in Artemovsk and attacking operations in other directions.

On November 8, in the Kherson region, the evacuation of residents from the right bank of the Dnieper was completed.

Earlier today it became known that the deputy head of the Kherson administration Kirill Stremousov died in an accident. The death of the deputy governor of the Kherson region was confirmed by the press service of the head of the region.
