Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov said that the basic military training course will appear in schools from September 2023. The Superjob service conducted a survey on this subject, which showed that the initiative was supported by 67% of parents of high school students and parents of secondary school students.

Representatives of the economically active population over 18 years old from all districts of the country, including parents of students in grades 10-11 of schools and students of secondary vocational schools, took part in the survey of the job search service SuperJob.

The return of the CVP course to the curriculum was generally supported: 6 out of 10 economically active Russians are in favor of the initiative. “The course is needed, but it should be as useful as possible: not only walk in formation. Everything in life can be useful". Against 22%: “The rules of the road, driving lessons, first aid courses will be more useful.” Every sixth (17%) abstained from the assessment.

Among men, there are more supporters of the introduction of the NVP course than among women (67 and 53%, respectively). Of the parents of high school students and students of secondary vocational schools, 67% support the return of basic military training to the curricula. The older the respondents, the more often they vote for the CWP course, the majority of supporters of the initiative are among citizens over 45 (73%): “That's right! Previously, there was a NVP course at school, as it should be! And they went to the shooting range: they shot from a machine gun. We need to bring back this training".

Whether the NVP course will be introduced at the expense of some other subjects or it will become an additional teaching load, the Ministry of Education does not specify. Today, a load of 7-8 lessons in high school is the norm in many cases. To this is added the preparation for the Unified State Examination, which has a greater influence on the choice of profession than military training.
