- An objective investigation of these cases indicates their direct connection with the activities of the Ukrainian special services, which put pressure on Russian citizens through bribery and blackmail. These destructive actions are aimed at creating a false opinion among the Russian and foreign public about the lack of support for the special military operation by the citizens of the Russian Federation, TASS reports the center.
Recall that this year there are regular cases of arsons of military registration and enlistment offices in the country. For example, yesterday a former school teacher, Ilya Faber, was convicted for setting fire to the building of the military registration and enlistment office in the Udmurt village of Igra. On November 7, a pensioner in Angarsk tried to set fire to the military enlistment office building with the help of three Molotov cocktails. In October security officials in Bashkiria opened criminal cases against two local residents who are suspected of setting fire to the buildings of two military commissariats.
Since the announcement of partial mobilization, more than two dozen such attacks have been recorded in Russia. The State Duma proposed to strengthen the security of the commissariats and toughen responsibility for encroachments on these buildings. The General Staff proposed that the attacks on military registration and enlistment offices be regarded as terrorist attacks, the punishment for which could be up to 15 years in prison.
