Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu (pictured) was critical of the United States' position on yesterday's terrorist attack in Istanbul that killed six people. The head of the department also spoke about the insincerity of the "so-called allies."

"I think it is necessary to evaluate the condolences made by the US today, as if the killer would be one of the first to arrive on the scene, and the reaction to this message will be very clear. This will be seen in the near future, God willing", - Anadolu quoted Soylu as saying.

He added that “the insincerity of our so-called allies, who seem to be friends to us”, but in fact help the terrorists to hide in their territory, “which they occupy”, send them money officially from their own senates, is especially obvious. The minister did not specify what exactly caused dissatisfaction in the US reaction to what happened.

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the States "strongly condemns the act of violence that took place in Istanbul" and "sends its deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones".

Recall that on the eve of the explosion in the center of Istanbul, on the tourist street Istiklal, not far from Taksim Square, we will warm up the explosion. This square is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Turkey. According to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, six people were killed and more than 80 were injured. Note that not far from the site of the explosion is the Russian Consulate General. Later it became known that there were no Russians among the victims.

Turkish authorities called the incident a terrorist attack. The country's Attorney General's Office launched an investigation.
