Polish President Andrzej Duda (pictured) said that the authorities of the republic do not have unambiguous evidence of who launched the rocket that fell on the territory of the country. However, he pointed out that it was likely that the projectile had been produced in Russia.

According to the Polish leader, this incident will not happen again.

"At the moment there is no unambiguous evidence of who launched the rocket. The investigation is ongoing. It was probably made in Russia. Nothing indicates to us that there will be more of them (such cases)", - Duda said.

He admitted that Warsaw would request an urgent consultation with the Allies in accordance with Art. 4 North Atlantic Alliance. The AP, citing US officials, said the missile was fired by Ukrainian forces.

The day before, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called an emergency meeting, which ended after 22:00 local time.

"Procedures have been implemented, including an increase in the readiness of some combat units on Polish territory. We decided to check whether there are grounds for launching procedures arising from Article 4 of NATO”, - Morawiecki announced after the meeting.

On November 15, a rocket fell on the Polish village of Przewodow on the border with Ukraine, killing two people. Duda has already expressed his condolences. He clarified that Polish experts are working at the scene of the incident, and experts from the United States are also expected, whom President Joe Biden promised to send to Poland.

At the same time, Biden has already said following a meeting with world leaders in Bali that preliminary data refutes that missiles were fired towards Poland from Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense called the statements of the Polish media about allegedly Russian missiles a provocation in order to escalate the situation.
