In the Tuvan village of Toora-Khem, a two-year-old child was locked in a house without food or heating for two days.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tyva, the boy's 40-year-old mother was in the hospital at that time, and the 39-year-old father left the child and "drank alcohol" from November 11 to 13.

“On November 13, the duty unit of police station No. 8 (Toora-Khem village) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Kyzylsky” received a message that people intoxicated were fighting in one of the houses in the village of Toora-Khem. In the course of work on this report, police officers established the fact that a 2-year-old child was left alone in an unheated residential area. Police officers immediately arrived at the address that became known to them, where a young boy, born in 2020, had been locked up in a private house without heating and without food for two days”, - the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported.

The police officers who arrived at the call noted that it was as cold as it was outside in the house, and the child was very cold. Law enforcement officers took the boy to the children's department of the Todzhinsky Central Clinical Hospital, where he received the necessary medical care. At the moment, the threats to his health have been eliminated.

According to the statement of the press service of the regional department, a criminal case has been initiated against the father of the child in accordance with Art. 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - Leaving in danger. For this, he faces punishment, up to imprisonment for a period of 1 year.
