Putin expelled 10 members from the Human Rights Council

The signed presidential decree is published on the official portal of legal information. According to the document, Nikolai Svanidze, who criticized the special operation, human rights activist Igor Kalyapin, journalist Ekaterina Vinokurova, Alexander Asmolov and others, are leaving the HRC.

“To exclude from the composition of the Council Asmolov A.G., Babushkin A.V., Bolshakova M.A., Verkhovsky A.M., Vinokurov E.V., Evdokimova N.L., Zasursky I.I., Kalyapin I.A. , Osokin G. A., Svanidze N. K.”, - the text of the decree says.

The decree comes into force from the date of signing.

Among the proposed members of the HRC are military commander of the KP Alexander Kots, member of the presidium of the Free Donbass movement Elena Shishkina, head of the regional executive committee of the All-Russian public movement "People's Front "For Russia"" in the Moscow region Yulia Belekhova. This list also includes Olga Demicheva, Nikolai Ivanov, Vladimir Ikonnikov, Andrey Melnikov, Sergey Rukshin, Ekaterina Smoroda.
