The current president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is leading the election race, gaining 81.31% of the vote, the Central Election Commission of the republic reported.

The leader of the farmers' association Zhiguli Dairabayev scored 3.42%, the public figure Karakat Abden - 2.60%, the economist Meiram Kazhyken - 2.53%. Nurlan Auesbaev, head of the opposition National Social Democratic Party, received 2.22%, human rights activist Saltanat Tursynbekova - 2.12%.

As the head of the Central Election Commission, Nurlan Abdirov, specified, 5.80% of voters voted "against all".

On November 16, Tokayev called on the people of the country to come to the polls on November 20 and vote in the presidential elections, while calling the president a "hired manager" with whom citizens would enter into a contract for a certain period.
