A fire on Komsomolskaya Square in the center of Moscow killed seven people. Earlier it became known that the bodies of six victims were pulled out from under the rubble, as well as about one victim.

The day before, in the vicinity of Komsomolskaya Square, there was a major fire in a two-story warehouse 1A, building 18. (Located behind the Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky railway stations).

The fire was extinguished nine hours later. The Investigative Committee opened a case under Part 3 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - on the performance of work or the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of more than two persons. The fire broke out due to a violation of fire safety rules, investigators said.

The fire area has increased to 2500 square meters. m, and the collapse in the building reached 700 sq. m. The rank of the fire has been increased to the third. Two people were reported locked in the building. Emergency services are on site.
