The American newspaper New York Times, having checked the authenticity of the video from the moment of execution of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian security forces, stated that there were no signs of falsification of the recording.

The experts of the publication compared the received frames with satellite images and confirmed that the video was filmed in Makeevka, REN TV notes.

Earlier, a video appeared on social networks, in which, presumably, several Russian fighters who had surrendered lie face down on the ground in a row, the video cuts off. The second recording shows that the military is already lying motionless.

The incident with the execution of Russian prisoners of war caused a great international outcry. Experts believe that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court should study what happened. This requires the departure of forensic experts to the scene, the collection of cartridge cases, evidence and a series of forensic medical examinations.

Initially, the video of the execution of Russian prisoners of war appeared on Telegram channels, and then on Ukrainian television. The authorities of the LPR believe that representatives of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be involved in the execution, and two people are called participants in the massacre - Artur Bortnichuk and Nazar Mikhailovsky.

Official Russian authorities appealed to representatives of the UN, the Council of Europe and the OSCE with a demand to assist in the investigation of what happened and the punishment of those responsible.

On November 18, it became known that the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of the mass execution of the Russian military.

After the video was distributed, the head of the Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeev, announced that he would send this video to international organizations and would seek an investigation into the incident.
