The Magomedov brothers were found guilty of embezzlement of 11 billion rubles

According to TASS, the punishment for them will be announced in the final part of the judicial act. The prosecutor requested 24 years for Ziyavudin Magomedov, and 21 years for a former member of the Federation Council, Magomed Magomedov, in a strict regime colony. The defendants' property will be confiscated.

Both were detained in March 2018 and accused of creating a criminal community that fraudulently stole a large sum from the budget - over 5.8 billion rubles. The lawsuit was filed by the Prosecutor General's Office. Victims in the case also filed suits for almost the same amount. Victims on it are about 20 people, most of whom are wanted or arrested in absentia.
