Mikhail Murashko announced an increase in prices for vital medicines

"Inflationary changes in the prices of VED drugs 2.3%. This is significantly lower than the inflation rate in the country", - RIA Novosti quotes the words of the head of the department.

Overall inflation in the country following the results of this year is expected to be at the level of 12-13%.

Previously, it was assumed that the country could experience a shortage of inexpensive drugs - due to a lack of raw materials, the production of drugs worth up to 100 rubles would become unprofitable for pharmaceutical plants.

It should be noted that the turnover of the pharmacy market in Russia in October and November of this year decreased by 5% against the backdrop of a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 and a decrease in household income.
