Russian-Laotian military exercises "Laros-2022" started in Laos

This is the third joint exercise of the Armed Forces of the two countries, they are held under the motto "Shoulder to Shoulder for Peace and Security".

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Lao People's Army, Lieutenant General Phanseng Boonphan, said that the Laros-2022 exercises are being held as part of the development of friendship between the two fraternal peoples and the Armed Forces of the states, "military cooperation allows us to improve the defense potential of the two countries".

Major General Vladimir Kulikov, senior operational group from the Air Defense Forces, indicated that the exercises were already becoming traditional:

- For the third time, our subunits will work out joint actions in unified combat formations to conduct a counter-terrorist operation under the motto "Shoulder to Shoulder for Peace and Security".

After the solemn opening of the exercise, the military personnel of both countries carried out a march on T-72 BMS tanks to the area where practical events were held.

In mid-November, it became known that Switzerland, for the first time in 33 years, would hold large-scale military exercises involving five thousand troops in the cantons of Bern, Solothurn, Aargau, Lucerne and Zurich. Their planning took two years.
