Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a total of 318,000 people were drafted into the army as part of the partial mobilization campaign. Their number turned out to be more than the 300 thousand originally announced in the plans due to the large number of volunteers.
“Over 300,000 reservists, including volunteers, have been trained in two months”, - Forbes quoted Shoigu as saying.
According to him, about 8,000 crews of combat vehicles and tanks, crews of artillery systems, air defense systems, unmanned aircraft and electronic warfare systems, hardware communications have been trained in the training centers of the Ministry of Defense.
Reservists were trained at more than 100 Russian and Belarusian military training grounds. According to the head of the department, in the course of their studies, the reservists received the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful completion of combat missions.
Mobilization in the country began on September 21 by decree of the head of state. The plan declared by the Ministry of Defense was completed within 37 days. After that, the military department reported that they were stopping sending subpoenas to those liable for military service.
During the mobilization campaign, the ombudsmen received thousands of complaints about the illegal actions of draft commissions and military registration and enlistment offices, including the draft of sick citizens, those with many children and those who have the right to deferment from draft. A separate layer of complaints concerned unlawful denials of payments promised by the state to those mobilized and failure to provide borrowers with credit holidays. After a wave of complaints, some of these issues began to be resolved.
